Academic Background
Akın Batmaz holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences. His doctoral research focused on Environmental Impact Assessment in the context of international environmental agreements ratified by Turkey. The doctoral thesis was later published as a Turkish-language book, and related research was also published internationally in Sustainability. His academic work has addressed EIA, international environmental agreements, climate regulation and European regulatory developments.
